The grief/ relationship with Violet portion of the book was written well, but I had a much more difficult time with the rest, esp. the boys. Overall, not my cup of tea, but I'm game to still give Alexandra Bullen's next book a try.
Olivia herself was a weak character, needy and bland. And the rest, including her parents, were by turns insipid, annoying or selfish. Not that those are not traits exhibited my many people, but not ones that I want to be reading about, much less that I feel should be portrayed as "cool" or laudable individuals.
