God in the Dock: Essays on Theology and Ethics - Walter Hooper, C.S. Lewis Much of the book is comprised of different essays and articles written by C. S. Lewis in defense or explanation of the Christian faith, and thus many repeat the same themes and examples. I had read other works by him that deal with apologetics, so I was not overly interested in those. But the four stars is well deserved for the following essay/articles:

Before We Can Communicate ~ On words, their meanings and how that can differ from person to person and how we must first share an understanding of the terms we use in order to rationally and fully discuss anything, esp. something of importance.

The Humanitarian Theory of Punishment & On Punishment: A Reply to Criticism from "I write as the son of a lawyer" to the end ~ These deal with the theory of punishment, how justice and mercy are met, etc. Excellent reading.

Xmas and Christmas ~ cute little sketch.

What Christmas Means to Me ~ How Christmas has been hijacked by commercialism.

Delinquents in the Snow ~ Society and the government, protection and freedom.
