Another fantastic installment in this historical mystery series, with a touch of the paranormal. I cannot thank Angie (and Grace) for the encouragement to try these as I have had nothing but a delightful time reading them. This one was no exception and I love the fact that Julia and Brisbane may be married but the drama and tension between them is just as interesting and I am so glad Raybourn is one of the seemingly rare writers that sees the possibilities for some great stories within a marriage and not just the initial attraction between two people. The very idea of two people falling in love and than working on that connection between them till death seems to hold far greater possibilities than the mere meeting, but what is the story most often told?
Anyway, this time they are off to India to help an old family friend and there is mystery, death, danger and accidents enough to satisfy even Julia's taste for adventure. I cannot wait for the next one!
