A retelling of Sleeping Beauty, but this time from the prince's point - of - view. It makes for a welcome change. Also, a new world which has its own politics and power plays, warring fey and dragons who walk about as men, magic and false friends.

I loved Balisan and would have liked to hear more about the dragons!

I liked Rue/Aura, but frankly I needed to see both her and Sigismund together more before they are declaring love and happily ever afters. I need conversations and getting to know each other. Time. Understanding. I don't care if you saved each other's lives. Or if you have been seeing the other person every few years in your dreams. A solid relationship that is not. Other than the lacking relationship build-up, I liked the story. A bit long at times and some things, including the magic, could have been further elucidated.
