There's no such thing as 'destiny', Abigail. Just becoming. Choosing to become what you were created to be, or choosing to walk away from it. And since all the creatures around you are becoming at the same time, it gets very complicated.
The middle child. Mostly character and relationship development for Finn and Teagan. I honestly did not feel like enough occurred in this one - seemed like a blink and done. Teagan's change, her fear about becoming evil, her determination to fight, her compassion, her solid desire to pursue her goals and even if she does love Finn, her life is never all about him. She realizes that she can have allies and support. Sassy Abby and her family, Roisan and Thomas. Aiden - such a sweetheart. The whole builds to a fight, but no conclusion.
The book really feels different from most things out there though. Which is nice.

Some of my pros:
A smart, amazing Dad. He counsels his daughter without being preachy or corny. I love how he offers to throw Finn out. A reliable best friend who is protective and cautious of the boyfriend, but never annoying or stupid.
A protagonist who is prickly, but for a good reason, and is trying to be a good person and determine a life path when all of this stuff is just tossed at her.
