Two-Part Invention: The Story of a Marriage - Madeleine L'Engle 3.5 stars/ 4

There is really nothing to say except that I am so glad I was able to read this book. And while I do not subscribe to the idea that certain books are for "everyone", this one certainly is one I gladly recommend to anyone looking for a sincere and meaningful read, without sentimentality or sappiness. It is honest and genuine. Madeleine was never afraid to ask the hard questions and it is a gift to see what her journey was as an individual, an author and actress, a wife, a mother... It is a poignant and subtle reflection on Madeleine L'Engle's life and her marriage to Hugh Franklin. Her struggles and triumphs, her joy and wonder, her questions and thoughts. Recommended.
