2.5 starsIt has a cool concept, pretty well executed. As it is the beginning of the series, I am being lenient with lack of character depth and world-building. Hopefully, both issues will be addressed and resolved in the next installment[s].
Backstory as history. Write-ins as visitors from our world. Muses. Mystery. A missing King. Danger. It felt a little too safe overall. Snow, the bratty and oh-so-lonely daughter of the villainess/evil witch, stood out from the rest as a character to watch and I look forward to seeing where they take her character. Neat idea, but executed with little passion. None of the wonder I would expect from such a world.
